Hi, thanks for you comment. To have real dark colors I use Chefmaster Liqua gel colorings. I buy them on my local cake decorating shop in El Paso TX. Sometimes I even use my air brush to make the colors deeper, but this wasn't the case, because i had a white cake board. I really preffer using buttercream instead of fondant, to cover the whole cake, mainly because people won't pay for very expensive cakes, and fondant covered cakes take a long time to decorate, hence the price.

this looks awesome i had to have a closer look because i looks like the corset is made with fondant it looks so shiny and good this has giving me inspiration to do my own i have wanted to make one of these but i am yet to master fondanting so this is perfect :) can u please tell me how u got the butter cream so black?? did u use chocolate then tint it black i wonder? i have a lot of trouble getting a good black and how did u get it so shiny looking??
