I know mine will never be as pretty as yours. They are so lovely..but I can practice anyway and hope.
Give them a try ya! It is actually not that easy to control the piping of the icing ... my course instructor practiced for 2 full weeks before she was happy enough that the flowers look even and smooth to put on her cakes. i myself still practicing the flowers in my free time.
Over here, a two tier wedding cake like these can cost as much as a two tier fondant wedding cake, or more (that's what I charge anyway and I've been making repeat orders for this design ;))
I'll post pics of my cupcakes using these flowers later
Great video, Thanks for posting. Got to give them a try,so pretty.
I just checked out your links. All I can say is "WOW"
Btw the flowers are made of Italian Meringue Buttercream.
Hi all! Sorry for the late post
Finally managed to track a fellow baker friend of mine who has prepared a video tutorial and some infos about this Korean Buttercream cake (aka K-Pop flower cakes as we call them here in Malaysia). She does A LOT of these cakes so she has a wider project album than mine (as I am more focused on fondant). You can check out the links here...
1. Notes on http://www.azlitamasammanis.com/2015/05/korean-flower-buttercream.html
Unfortunately her notes are in Malay language not English but the pics are quite useful.
2. Video tutorial on https://www.facebook.com/azlita.aziz/videos/vb.100001238461054/9446...
Again the texts are in Malay not English. Just note that the piped flowers and iced cakes are chilled to harden in between the steps.
Hope these help! :D
this is one of my fav piped cakes
Inoka, I've looked and cannot find anything even remotely similar to this. If I do, I will post for everyone to see.
Goregeous!!! I love to see a tutorial tooo.
Yes, would love to see a tutorial, so we can be ready when the Korean Flowers Cake craze makes its way over here to New Jersey :)
