Here you have the top & bottom molds, having been peeled off of, and separated from, the faux leaf itself.

Hi Gail!

Yes, they seem to hold up fairly well.  I do not know the life expectancy on these yet.  I still have some of my original ones, from last October, with no apparent signs of decay of any sort.  I did notice that the ones I bagged retained their flexibility better than the ones left out in the air.  The ones left out are still quite good & usable, just not as soft as the ones that I bagged.  I have started keeping some of the bagged ones in the fridge.  The ones bagged, in or out of the fridge, seem about the same so far.   So bagging does seem to help prolong their life, & functionality.

For now, the only ones I am still leaving out some, are the ones that are more detailed, and so I want to harden a little. so I can more easily clean off the excess, when scraping, or cutting away the excess fondant, gumpaste, GummyGel, etc...

When they get too firm, or you don't need them anymore, they can be remelted many times.  That procedure will eventually dry them out some, and you will need to add a little water or glycerin when reheating, just to get back the flexibility that you desire.  I really like making things with it, & hope you find it the same.

Why... THANK YOU!  These are mostly for one time use items, or when you just don't have the mold you need.  They are not silicone.  Heat will melt them, & water will dissolve them, so it is not a very saleable item.  BUT!!  It is very useful, & certainly has it's uses.  I have had fun making soooo many things, & have kept some, & remelted others to make new molds.  I always have an old batch/mold cut up & ready to remelt for a new project.
