RECIPE___ Coconut/Pecan Frosting
3 beaten egg yolks-1 cup evaporated can milk-1 cup white sugar-1 TBL butter
Stir together. Place in sauce pan, cook over MED heat 12 min. stirring CONSTANTLY till thicken. Remove from heat and add.....
1&1/2 cups coconut (I used the frozen kind)
1 cup chopped nuts (I used pecans)
1 teas. vanilla
Stir to cool and blend well. It will thicken some as it cools.
You can use brown sugar if you want it to be a darker color.
your piping is alway perfect , just look how beautiful the boarders are , when i see piping it makes me crazy , that i cant do it , lol
oh yes thank you Betty ;x
Gail... Yes, mostly butter ( 2 lb bag p-sugar, 1&3/4 stick butter,1/2 c milk-(depending on how thick or thin I want it), around 1/2 c Crisco (I never measure this just scoop it out) and what ever flavoring you want. When using the cocoa it might take a little more milk because of the cocoa being dry.
You want the recipe for the coconut/pecan filling??
looks so delicious!
butter ,p-sugar crisco ?
It's just my regular butter cream. I use the same recipe that I use for my white covered cakes, just add cocoa.
do you use ABC or SMB , ,? YOUR WORK LOOKS SO PERFECT ! i try with the SMB but its not working for me trying to decorate with it ?
