yes the seperators snap into place just remember when using them go up 2 sizes, this is a 6in cake on a 6 in cardboard underneath, but the seperator plate is 8in. it gives you room to add your trimmimg, and make sure the plate is locked within the pillar it's simple to do

beautiful .i never did a cake like that . is it easy to use the seprators ?
