Oh, my goodness, Denise!  A cake decorating party for an 8 year old - how awesome!  You must be so proud of her.  It would be neat if you made pictures and posted them for us to see.  Be sure and tell her your caking friends are interested in her work...and wish her a happy birthday!

Thanks Sandra. Yes, she was. She sat there and stared at it from the moment I arrived w/it until we cut it. She is an aspiring cake decorator. Her mom says she loves watching "Cake Boss" & learned how to spell it just so she could find it on the guide on tv...lol. As a matter of fact she is having a cake decorating party for her next upcoming birthday in December which I will be assisting with.

Thank you ladies. Katy, Galidink is correct about the Shape & Amaze. It is so much easier to work w/than gumpaste. Doesn't dry as quickly as gumpaste does so you have more time to work w/it & don't have problems w/it cracking like w/gumpaste. Comes in a few basic colors but the white can be tinted w/gel or paste food coloring just fine.

Great job Denise - your gymnast is so cute.  I've never heard of Shape and Amaze - is it like a gumpaste?
