Oh Tracy, the cake frilly is wonderful, surprising and elegant at the same time.

Do you know that yesterday I had a look to Squires Kitchen course in Farnham and I booked two courses? I think that I am Crazy, but my husband told me quietly it was ok. On may 2012.

Hi Tracy ! Yes sorry No training , like to just have a go !!! It started out for just family and some friends , but now i am a very busy man . Don't charge enough !!! Thats also why i am busy. I work full time then make the cakes in the evening , normally 1 per week but have managed 4 while working !! I do have a website if you fancy a look at some of my other stuff , and doing my own buisness is more appealing , so who knows ! , Martin x
  • Martin Brown

    Sorry ! Did mean to leave it , long week !! Its www.mbcakes.co.uk , I need an early nite !! M x
  • natasa kukic

Thank you Tracy! Yes, these were made from a real lace...I used liquid food grade silicone from Deco Relief, France. And don't worry about you lego project, I supose it's a lot eaasier to work with paste rather than liquid.!!! Can't wait to see them!
  • Martin Brown

Hi Tracy , Thank you for your comments and having just looked through your pictures that is a big compliment !! So thank you again !

Yes you need to get your website sorted ! People are being deprived of seeing your talent.

Your attention to detail is immense ! I am often told I put a lot of detail in "its only a cake !!" is the usual line , but you know thats not true !!

I see you are only in Croyden , im in Reigate , Reigate College tobe precise , Yes I live there and work there too !

Would be awsome to meet to see your portfolio , and being a man people find it wierd or ask if im gay ! because i make cakes , don't know what you think , won't be offended if not , but don't find to many people interested when I start talking cakes , you'll know what I mean .

    Chat soon M x

Hi Tracy, I was unaware that comments couldn't be made; I have now changed that setting. Thank you for your comments. I loved making the lilies. It was my first real attempt at making flowers, before this all I seemed to be able to make were colourful cabbages (er well they were supposed to be roses and they never saw the light of a cake). LOL
Love your toucan and  bunny soo cute and I love Cinderellas coach!
  • jodi miller

I  made the first cake "Heffalump" elephant cake in april of this year...then a mothers day hat cake(I asked my mom what color hat she would have worn to the royal wedding) and it has snow-balled...I've lost count but I think I have done about 30 + cakes since then... with quite a few on the books for dec and jan... I LOVE it!! Since I started doing them I've become addicted and want to make bigger and more difficult ones....( I do still like the smaller ones tho)..I am learning something new with each one I do...

  • Aaron J. Curiel

thank you tracy for the comment, I didn't know that i turned off the comments!  I am gonna go look at the settings right now to see how to fix it.  :/  I was wondering why no one commented.. I thought that no one liked my stuff!

I thought Linda Wolff REALLY did an amazing job on her Lambeth premiere... I appreciated your kind words Tracy! My "first" experimental Lambeth cake was a disaster... to say the least... Linda's was really rather great! And, of course, her fondant/gum paste flowers are ALWAYS beautiful... just like your!!!

  • Cheryl Adams Kier

  • Katy Nott

Hi Tracy.  Thanks so much for your kind compliments.  To be honest, when I look at some of the amazing creations on this site (yours included), I can't help but feel completely inadequate and in total awe of people's talent.  By the way, I have bought some of the stuff to make moulds with (got it at the Cake International Fair at Excel on Friday).  I was totally inspired by your peacock.  So now I'm on the hunt for something to copy!

Oh, and I'm in Harrow, Middlesex.

  • June Kowalczyk

All aspects of your Barbie were amazing. Thought it best to put my remarks on your page as there were too many nice pics of her to make comments on. Barbie looked beautiful from every side & angle!! All the detailed work was flawless. Can't wait to see the whole cake. :o)
  • June Kowalczyk
