I know that Satin Ice and Fondx are vegan! They will tell you they are anyway!

i have tried to make MMF but that isn't vegan unless you use vegan marshmallows but not sure if they would react the same as regular marshmallows.

I recently made  vegan fondant .Got the recipe from a friend . Its made with Liquid glucose or karo syrup .no gelatin . Originally i had learned to make  fondant with Gelatin .which is  very good .  But For vegan friends i also learned to make  the gelatin free one .

what exactly is vegan fondant ???

Some folks dont mind the use of gelatin in their food preparation , whilst some do . ( eg Religious beliefs )

I shall post the recipe soon

as i am short on time at the moment .Just joined the group and noticed this vegan fondant topic .

Vegan products contain no meat or animal by-products. Many fondants use gelatin, which is animal derived, and therefore not vegan.

Satin Ice Rolled Fondant, however, is indeed vegan. We take every precaution to ensure the integrity of our claims.

*Please be aware that our Gum Paste is not vegan, as it contains egg white, but CMC powder or gum tragacanth can be added to our fondant to create a vegan gum paste without egg whites.

Hey Shirley,

 

Could you please share the recipe for the vegan fondant? I have been making fondant using agar agar flakes but it isn't as stretchy as the gelatin one.
