Have you guys checked out the two seminars we will be offering tomorrow? I highly recommend them to anyone starting their own cake business!

Due to a lack of a location for a meeting in September we will be holding our next meeting in October.  The date will be announced as soon as we have it.

Hello, my name is Julie and I live in Lehigh Acres, Florida. I'll tell you a little bit about me.  I've been baking since I was young.  My Mother was always baking pies, cookies and breads.  I started helping her early on and still do.  In the past I've taken vacation days just so that I can help her bake her Christmas cookies she gives out as gifts to her children and grandchildren.  I think we made 1200 cookies last year in two days.  I get my love of baking from her.   

 

I started out slow baking cakes only for my Mom on her Birthday and Mother's Day so she would have something homemade and not store bought.  Then I got laid off from my job and decided that I wanted to do more with the decorating.  I took all four Wilton courses and here I am.  I've been doing cakes for friends and family and absolutely enjoy every minute. 

 

I'm learning something everyday and enjoy every minute of it!

The SW FL Cake Decorators Club will be having it's October meeting at Robin's Nest Bakery in Ft. Myers on Sunday the 23rd.

Hello I am Margaret from the UK, I will be holidaying in Fort Myers Beach for three weeks over the Christmas period, can anyone suggest a good store or anything that i could attend or visit while I am there. This will be our fourth visit to FMB and altho I have been a cake decorator for over thirty years I am just becoming more involved in the craft again because I have taken premature retirement and now can spend time doing what I really enjoy.Best wishes from the UK, Margaret Carte4r

Next meeting will be at Robin's Nest Bakery, Corners of College and Winkler, Ft. Myers at 1:45 pm.  This is open to all who want to attend and learn about Isomalt sugar.  This will be the demo for Novembers meeting.  Any questions post them to us, and we will try to answer.  Please post in the events to let us know you will be coming, lets pack the house for this meeting!!!
