Hi everyone! I'm new to the group and have been decorating since May.
I tasted a cake that a friend of mine bought and it had the most INCREDIBLE buttercream frosting! I have been trying to duplicate it, but with no luck.
It was super creamy, very shiny, thick and had some stiffness to it. Just melted in your mouth good. I think she said it was a French buttercream, but not sure what makes it that way. Any ideas on the kind of recipe that was used? Someone suggested corn syrup but that has not worked.
I guess my next step would be to ask the bakery for the recipe....but not sure they would share!
Thanks everyone and love the topics on te discussion board!
Happy baking!

Above is the link to the Wilton version of it, but you can try other versions. It is on my to do list to try this one though - I've heard it's heavenly :). Good luck!
