I have painted my cala lily gumpaste flowers orange (mixture of golden yellow, lemon yellow and red) and lemon yellow gel wilton icing colours last night.

I did not have alcohol/vodka on hand so I painted the flowers as is. I need them to dry by this Thursday. Any tips, suggestions to get these flowers to dry quickly will be appreciated.

Kerry, I have a little lamp that clips to the side of the table that I practice my gumpaste at, and have found that it helps to dry my flowers quickly.
Try putting them in your oven with JUST the oven light on overnight!!
Works for me...

hi kerry, i use a small fan to help dry all my hand painted gumpaste, recently i had to put my gumpaste hands in the oven, i had to heat my oven because it is electric,( dont have to heat the gas ovens), i heated on the lowest setting, only until it got slightly warm, then turn it off waited a few minutes and put the gumpaste in it for 5 minute intervals, it works.

good luck
They can be set in an oven with a pilot light, nothing else. Be sure no one turns on the oven. A fan would help, too. If you're desperate, the hair dryer, on the lowest heat and held some distance away, will also help.
If you have a food dehydrator, that helps too. Probably the same effect as the oven.
