Monica, did you not take a photo of what you made so that we could see how this turned out??

hi,
i actually saw Ron Ben Israel do it on youtube, he even made his own stemp, but that's the way he did the lace.
turned out very pretty

i had practiced on a dummy cake, took the pic and cleaned the dummy, later when i got around to lookin at the pic, it didnt come out very clear, i do some pieces in white with a darker background and upload it.

There is a great technique that you can use which is much easier and almost costs you nothing. Buy some "real" lace and lay your fondant over it, (using powdered sugar as usual to prevent sticking) and use your fondant roller to imprint the lace onto the fondant. You then jus ttrim the nonlace area away and tadda....lace!

I have used plastic lace place mats to make lace. I then cut the edges with border cutters.
