Hi Group, I am excited to join this group and glad I found it!! I am currently a kitchen Manager for a Italian Grocery Store in Waldorf, Maryland where I do all the baking for the store. Hi! I live in Reisterstown & took formal classes last fall at the Michael's in Ellicott City. But I'm largely self taught.  I'd love to decorate professionally.

Those who bake cakes from scratch what do you use to make a moist
cake?

I mix cake flour and all purpose flour together and add a little extra milk.

Good unsalted butter n I add 1/4 cup of shortening. Do not over beat ur batter

One more thing sift ur dry ingredients. Its a huge help. Cake will feel light not heavy. Hope these tips help.
