Hi! I was so excited to see a Maryland group. I live Baltimore and am new to decorating. I've taken the four Wilton Courses and am in love with cake. :-)

Yay we have 3 members. I thought I was out here by myself. I live in Frederick. I am completely self taught, though its probably not a bad idea to go ahead and take courses. I too love cake.

I too was excited about a Maryland group. I have been decorating only since October. Took the first wilton course and instantly was hooked on decorating. I recently got a job at food lion as a decorator and while I'm mostly making balloons and roses I'm having fun.

I was going to but I am walking in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer that weekend. Believe me when I realized it was the same weekend I was soo bummed and even thought of not walking sunday because I want to go to the show. But the reality is that the shows will always be there and the Walk is way more important. Are you near there?

I live about 40 minutes away, in Baltimore City. I agree with you that the Walk is more important. There are plenty of cake shows and classes to go to!

I have a full-time job but baking is my passion and I bake after work. I have taken a beginners class but otherwise self-taught. I love the challenging stuff. I look forward to communicating/meeting you all some day and getting your help/advise when needed. My dream is to open my own pastry shop one day but for now, I'll just keep dreaming.
