New small business in Misawa, Japan

I've just started my own cake business, One Special Cake.  It's still unofficial.  I live in Misawa, Japan working on the Misawa Air Base.  There is a large demand for custom cakes here.  Funds are an issue since I pretty much sink all profits from one cake into supplies for the next one.  Since I'm starting out small what do you think the best way to advertise is?  Business cards would be the best place to start.  I have a page on Facebook, One Special Cake.  I need to get the word out, but can't afford the advertising costs.  Has anyone used low cost methods to advertise in the early stages of a business?
