Gretchen,
You cake is beautiful and I love what you did with the fondant and gumpaste cut outs! Wow, the spray is that the crystals? You are right, my cake had a little problem too but you can't tell on your cake at all. Did it happen on all of your cakes and cupcakes? Mine only happened on a few of them.

I thank you so much for this Fun Project!!!! I like that fact that everyone is sharing what is going on with their cakes and the different decorations. Terrific ideas everyone and very creative!!!

I'm glad I was able to participate! Thank you.
Jeri, I really was surprised by how this cake tasted. It is terrific!!!

Ok I'm trying to upload my picture lets see if I did it right. I used cream cheese and fresh strawberries as filling. Had no problems with cake only that it did not rise very much.

Sonia,
Your pattern is fabulous! Did you use a rubber stamps to make that impression of the leaves and hearts? Adorable design.

Funny, it appears that we are all filling our cakes so far with the same cream cheese and fresh strawberries and we are all having a similar small problem with our cakes either not rise completely or falling a bit.

Hopefully, we will have an answer to why this has happened to most of us soon.

Oh no the crystal things are Sprinkles and there is ediable glitter (Sparkles, both are Wilton products) also on the cake, I use lots of ediable glitter. I think those sprinkles are the only thing not pink on the cake, and you know what, I have Pink Sprinkles, man I should have used those, but I guess they show better on the pink. I forgot that when I was discriping it, I am trying to post a blog on my page. I hope I can soon. Thanks Sher!

So far so good with all the cakes, hope to see a few more!!!!

Stampinsher,

The pattern was done with a fondant imprint mat i bought a while ago but never used. It worked pretty good for this cake. So hopefully we will find out why it didn't rise much. I'm thinking because of the carbonation of the champagne but that just a guess.

Hey girls, nice cakes. Helen I almost did a pink fondant marble also. Loved how we all came up with flowers for a summery effect.. How'd the teachers like the cake Gretchen? Can't wait to see what is next...

Oh I am so loving seeing everyone's pink masterpieces! Great job everyone! Tina T's cotton candy looks yummy, but I think I'd like a little sip of stampinsher's topper! And all you guys that did pink flowers- too cute! You are all pretty in pink! Sorry- I couldn't resist!

Sher... nice job on the blogspot!!! Your video is fun! What might have to do with the cakes falling in the center is how many cakes you had in the oven at once. I never put 2 levels of cakes in at once. That might be the reason I don't know. The reason I never put baking times on my cakes or temps is because I bake things at different times and temps depending on what size the cake is. Anything over 8" I bake at 325 for 35 minutes and up just testing as I go to see when they are done. Anything 8" or under I do bake at 350. Guess I should add this to my recipes. And different pans will bake at different temps better too... Fat Daddio's pans need to be on a lower temp and bake longer... and Magic Line I always follow the above. Wilton pans... I gave away of all of mine. I don't like the way they bake compared to the others. Magic Line are my favorite for squares... like the crisp corners they give. Fat Daddios are good pans too.

Great Job on all the cakes ladies! Glad to hear the comments on how it tastes... it is a good cake and yes.. it is dense. All of my cakes are more dense. It's the Sour Cream!
