Is it time to start thinking of the next project???? How about gingerbread houses or sugar cookies so we can get ready for the holidays and have a great project too! December will probably be super busy for everyone and November would be a great month for something like that!

I love all the ideas. I am not into doing the gingerbread house.... I still have one from a kit my daughter did in the freezer. I do want to come up with some sort of idea that I can use for Christmas. I want a special item to make for gifts.

How about cinnamon ornaments.. you can personalize them with names or decorarte like cookes... they smell wonderful too.. you can als hang them on your tree or attach to presents....

Cinnamon-Applesauce Ornaments

This recipe is too simple to make only for the winter holidays

-use it anytime or anywhere you want your house to smell warm
and inviting. (Note that these ornaments are not edible.)
Recipe can be doubled.

The ingredients 1 cup cinnamon
1 cup applesauce
1/4 cup white glue

How to do it
Mix all ingredients well until they form a dough. Flatten the dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch. If the dough is a little dry you can add a bit more applesauce. Use cookie cutters to cut out festive holiday shapes. Use a drinking straw to punch a small hole in the top of each ornament if you plan to hang them. Keep them flat and move them to a warm, dry spot for 48 hours to allow them to dry. Turn each ornament over every few hours to dry on each side. Alternatively, put them in a warm (200 degrees F) oven for several hours turning occasionally.

Oh by the way if you like you can add some nutmeg, clove, allspice and/or ginger to the mix.

Hey, Karen, Elmer's Glue is non-toxic. Why can't we eat it? ;-)
