For the Thanksgiving holiday I made buss up shot and shared with my mom and cousin. Now they now I can make they want to put in their order Christmas. I do not make buss up shot that often, its too much work. I also made sweet potato pies, mini cakes: spice cake, red velvet cake n strawberry shortcakes plus one large spice cake and shaped it into a pumpkin. the only food I cooked was ground trukey lasagna, I do not eat meat. I hit up my parents, cousin and hubby's aunt house and got food from them. My mom dropped a bumber on me and told me next year we are having Thanksgiving at my house. I was like what? I think I will go A WALL. I flying to Trinidad for that, lol. I do not care to do Thanksgiving at my house, only Christmas. What did you guys did. . I know in the Islands we do not celebrate this holiday but did anyone did anything this weekend and will like to share.

YUMMY Alicia! I LOVE buss up shot! There is a Trini restaurant here that makes an awesome one! So I can at least get my curry and roti fix - so many of my friends in college were Trinis, so I got spoiled with delicious Trini food all the time!
My husband is American so we did Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, since we don't really have Thanksgiving as a holiday here in Cayman (although people got into the spirit and you could find turkey dinners everywhere on Thursday!). I did herb roasted turkey, sage and shallot dressing, cranberry jelly (which I sliced and used cookie cutters to make little pumpkins), garlic mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, macaroni and cheese, salad, and a friend brought by her sweet potato casserole (which was gorgeous AND delicious). I had a couple of custom cake orders, so by the time I finished those, got dinner cooked and cleaned the house, I didn't have time to bake (I was planning on baking pumpkin pie, and cinnamon brown sugar pound cake), so I sent my husband to the store and he picked up a cheesecake and a pecan pie. My family usually has 3 dinners around Christmas time - Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years...and I'm hosting the boxing day one which will be a Boxing Day dinner/Anniversary party for me and my husband....so Thanksgiving was a good trial run for Christmas for me!
