Hi Kim:

You idea sounds feasible. I would put the cakes and cuppies in the fridge...properly wrapped of course. I would fill the cupcakes before I store so that you have less work to do on Sunday.

You could also bake very early Saturday and start the decorating perhaps the crumb coat for the car...and store for final decorating.

Are you using fondant to cover the car...when ever i put fondant (or the 1 time that i did) on a cold cake...it sweat-ed...loool like crazy...hated it...so you could leave it out covered in the cake box...it would be fine...if you are worried about the duration that the cake will sit out...bake later...:)

Just my thoughts....I haven't mastered time management with this cake thing yet...:)
Hey Kim - how did everything go this weekend with the cakes and cupcakes?
