Cake Dreams

My dream is to become a professional cake decorator. I have had a passion for decorating since I was 14. That was the first time I decorated a cake for a 4h competition and I fell  in love with it. I want to turn my passion into a successful business. I have two daughters 4 and 7 years old who are also developing a strong interest in cake decorating. I would like to open a business that I could eventually become a family business that I share with my girls.

My dream is to become a well known cake decorator in my area. I'm not looking to become famous worldwide. I just want to be able to make a decent living to provide for my family and make the best cakes around at a reasonable price. This dream has also allowed me more time with my children which just that in and of itself is a dream come true.

My dream for as long as I can remember is to have my own cute hometown bakery making cakes, cupcakes & cookies. I have loved baking since I was a little girl. I really got serious 4 years ago & decided to go to baking and pastry school. I graduated a year and a half ago and started making cakes from home. It has really taking off and I am so excited! Hope my dream comes true soon.

Hi all, new to your group. Can't wait to read all your dreams!! Mine is to find an affordable place to teach all that I know. I still make cakes for friends and family and am ALWAYS wanting to learn more & more. So my dream is to have a cute place to call my own and clear out my "guest room / studio". LOL. I'm sure most of you can relate to that!

I always get asked if I want to own my own bakery one day, and my answer is surprisingly no. I'm not interested in the business end of it, I just want to decorate! My dream is actually to work for the Disney company doing their wedding and specialty birthday cakes! I hope to sometime make it there...

RIght now, my dream would be to be able to make at least my two oldest nieces Wedding cakes when they get married and that they would be so awesome that my daughter would have wished that she would have let me do her cake.  Her Stepmom did her cake and did an awful job on it.  It was embarassing.  She did a better job on one of the three grooms cakes that she did then she did the main cake.   She doesn't like cake per se because it is dry.  I told her that I would make her any cake she wanted-be it a cake out of brownies or whatever and it would be good and look good.  So I am hoping that my nieces allow me to do their cakes and they will be so awesome and taste awesome that she will apologize that she did not allow me to make hers.  She told me that she did not mean to hurt me, but she knows that it did and I told her that I forgave her, but it did hurt.  I won't ever get that chance again so I am hoping that when she sees her cousins cakes that she will apologize again and tell me that she is sorry that she took that dream away.  She wouldn't let me do her wedding dress either.  At least if I could have done the cake it would have been very good.  Sorry this is so long.

My dream is to learn how to market my cakes better. I do wonderful work but it seems like I can't get past the few loyal clients I have. Yes my dream is to market better.
