Anyone have any tips on how to make windows which look authentic, Have thought of using gelatine sheets and cutting to shape Any better ideas ? Also what is isomalt never heard of it here in Sydney

Isomalt just melts down and looks like glass. It is really cool stuff! I bought some but have not used it yet. I want to get the beer bottle mold and make some sugar bottles out of it.

You are welcome... hope you find what you need.
If you are making windows for say, gingerbread type dough, you can crush hard candies and place them in the window spaces while they bake. Make sure you fill them quite full and let them cool until firm before removing them from the sheet. Parchment or silpat is needed to line the pans first. It is similar to making stained glass cookies..
