I have used all 3 brands... I just prefer Betty Crocker.  It's all about what you prefer... give it a try and see what you think.... I don't know that I'd do a wedding cake without trying it ahead of time.  I have my recipes that I have used for years and Betty is my brand.
Thanks Jeri. Yes I will give it a try. Pillsbury is the only brand that goes on sale all the time for some reason
Pillsbury is pretty good.  Do you only want to do box cake?  You can mix the box cake with a homemade recipe as well.  I used the Wilton yellow cake recipe and a box cake recipe (fully mixed, then mixed with the homemade) together and it was great. It may be enough for 1.5 tiers depending on the size of the pans.  Good luck with whatever you decide.
Didn't know about mixing both. does this mean you prepare batter according to the box and the recipe and  mix both. I am planning to make a 12" ,9" and 6"    three 2" layer cake.
