Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Hello!  Well I have pretty much dove right into making my own cake/cupcake toppers out of gumpaste, and would like to start selling custom made toppers on my website, etc... I have soooo many ideas but these are the ones that I made last night so far.  I've attached a few photos as I haven't a clue what to charge for these little guys.  They're about 5 inches tall by 3 inches wide, probably too big for cupcakes but would be really cute on cakes.   Maybe I'm getting too ahead of myself - do you think these are even "marketable"??   Thank you!! :)

Just like a cake,I think you need to search out what other decorators/shops are charging.
It is fairly easy for cakes, but fondant figures?? There is a place in Mississauga that sells cake toppers. Think it is called Cake Toppers. That is one place you can check out. It will also depend on your general area , what the market is?
Good luck.

Everybody is different. I only charge extras for big gum paste flowers that needed to be  made in advance. For me, those figures in your pictures will be included in the cake price, but then again, I charge by the servings.

I would think so! Michael's sells small boxes of gum paste flowers for a hefty fee, these are much nicer. You are meaning selling these by themselves so people can put them on their own cakes, right? I would do 3$-5$ each (depending on size and the time it took to create) Plus shipping/handling. Also a group of similar/related items with a special price would be a good idea I would think. These are very cute, great job!
