Silver dragees turning into gold, rose, dark grey colors...anything but silver!
OMG....I am decorating using silver dragees and they have turned into a gold tone, or opaque. I'm not painting over them, each cake gets finished first then added some silver pearls as accent. Soooooo, has this happened to any of my friends?

Oh, I have a pair, ok I will try them tonight, Linda. I was trying the tweezers and there are silver dragees all over the floor but the cake, Lol. I have skinny long fingers and long nails, those are my perfect tools for cake decorating...jijijiji

I tried with tweezers and they bounced all over the places - my solution? Took itty-itty-itty bitty circles of craft foam (comes in sheets like felt but it that soft foam stuff??) - you could cut out with a little hole punch - and hot glued to the inside pads of the tweezers where they come together. Gave just enough of a soft grip to grasp the dragees and help with placement. Good luck!!

Well thank you Joann, I will definetely try that. Linda, so I put my cotton gloves, what a nightmare that was, hahahahahahahaha, I could not get the tiny pearls with my fingers. You will see, I'm shipping a small package your way tomorrow morning. Jijijiji I love you so much that I want you to experience my pain, just kidding.

awww, gee Sandra, I'm not sure how to take that! lol. Kidding!! Are you giving me the ones that have already turned a weird color or the ones that are silver? You just want to see if they turn a different color with someone elses hands, huh?! I'll keep my eyes posted and let you know if they turn on me too.

If they are that tiny, Sandra, I know I will be using Joann's idea of the foam glued to the tweezers. When I use any of those dragees I end of with more on the floor than on my project. What are you putting them on? Something Christmassy?
