Try Americolor's super red. Hobby Lobby sells it. Also, Wilton's spiderman red is good, too. If you don't get instant results...start with a pink & add the super red & let it set. It sometimes take me a day or so to get a good red. Remember, the longer it sets, the deeper it wil get. You may have to keep adding the red a little at a time for a day or more. Hope this works for you.

I added a little bit of brown to the reddest I could get with the Wilton no-taste red and it came out Elmo colored. :)

I use AmeriColor's Red Red. For two pounds of icing I use 1/2 tsp. + 9 drops. It won't look red right away...don't panic! Let it sit overnight and when you wake up in the morning you'll have the perfect red. :)
