Dawn Parrott CPC, is a certified Pastry Chef and accomplished award winning cake designer living in Houston TX. Her inspiration came at a young age when she watched her dad make incredible cakes for family and friends. Many years later and mostly self-taught, Dawn has won awards around the country and continues to practice and teach the craft as she knows it.
In 2010 Dawn earned the title master sugar artist by placing 5th at the Tulsa Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show (OSSAS) in the Wedding division and is often asked to demonstrate, compete, and teach her craft around the country.
Her award winning designs have been featured numerous times in different cake, baking magazines and books across the US and Internationally. Dawn has appeared on television; The Food Network Challenge in 2009 and 2010; called Paranormal Cakes and Stand Up Comedy Cakes.

Add the photo to your profile (not the forum). Photos must include a description of the materials/techniques used to make your cake. Only cake entries will be accepted - no cupcakes, cake pops or cake balls. Cakes that do not fit the theme will not be entered.
The photo title (required) will be a suitable title for picture, but it may not remain a string of numbers associated with a file name on your computer. To enter the contest, add the TAG S713 to your picture. 1 entry per person and 1 photo per entry. All entries will be featured at the top of the photos page. (This is a manual process, so please be patient). If your photo has already been favorited, please upload the photo again. This is to create a level playing field.
The top ten cakes will be determined by the number of people selecting it as their favorite with the favorite button. Voting will take place from Thursday, August 8th to Monday, August 12th. The top ten cakes will be displayed on Tuesday, August 13th. Winners will be announced on Monday, August 19th.
