Ok ladies, this might be a dumb question, but I have been wondering for a little here; how much gel coloring and how much vodka do you mix so that you can paint on fondant? Or do you just pyut some coloring and add the vodka a little at a time till you reach the consistency it should be in order to piant?????

when you add water, do the gel colors run since the vodka dries? definately going to do what sheri suggested can't wait to paint.

I use paste colors and water. Works great for me. I also paint with water based paints as I am a crafter painter also. There are art books at the library you can study. It sure has come in handy for me for my cakework. But I will try the gel coloring with vodka.
On my last cake (topsy turvy) i used airbrush colors to hand paint. dried very quickly and much better coverage and control than gel/everclear combo.
wow think i will try that in stead. thanks
