Yup
Waaaaaaay more fun....... :o)
Annie, so far, I'm self-taught as well, nothing wrong with it, people still gobble up my cakes as I'm sure they do yours. This site is great! I've only been here a little over a month and everyone is super helpful!
Sharnette, I'm so jealous of you! I'd love to get my kitchen open so I could sell, but right now, I'm the family and friends baker, which is fun too. As I told Angie, this site is great.

hi everyone I have just joined the this site and have a question if someone could help me I have been making wedding cakes now for about a year and my last cake was told delicious moist but when they cut it fell apart don't know why help

thank you

Hi there and welcome to the site.  Everyone here is so encouraging.  I love this site.  Happy Baking!

Hi Jane and welcome.  I guess you mean the sponge cake fell apart?  Strange if it was moist and yet it did that.....

Just a couple of thoughts -

Was it a light sponge - if so, perhaps the fondant was too heavy for it.

Was the cake served chilled?  Filling may then have been too firm for the sponge.

You might want to post this as a discussion on the main forum - see what our experts might come up with!
