Hi My names Tippy, I've been baking and cooking for 30 years now, Cooking gourmet really. I started turning that gourmet palate into the baking aspect of it and it's really taken off. I love good food and good tasting food... and did I mention I love great tasting food?? If it's not good, I won't take another bite, the calories just aren't worth it. LOL!!!
I started my own cake business because I was tired of eating cake that looked great but tasted just mediocre, because of my passion for good food I went on a tangent to create a cake that tastes just as good as they look and have also been enjoying the process of turning that average looking cake into something extraordinary.

Hi everyone I am Helen from Queensland Australia... I have been dabbling in cake decorating out of my home kitchen for about ten years.. self taught and love trying out methods I read about or tips on youtube. I was very excited to find a forum here.. but looking at the comments I am wondering if anyone still looks at this. Anyway, I love checking out everyones work.. wonderful to see the things we can do with cake and icing.. imagination is the limit. I watch programs like Cake Boss and such and often wonder if their cakes would be tasty or just look great. I too use fresh ingredients and can't compete with supermarkets or cake shops as I pay retail and they are wholesale.. but I strive to give the best value I can to my customers...
I am excited and looking forward to conversing with other ladies and gents who share my passion for cake. :)

Hi Ms Helen,
There are people still active on this site. I live in GA but born and raised in New Jersey. The line outside the store of the cake boss is always long so I have never bothered to go but I understand their cakes are not that tasty. Could be they have gotten so big that the personal touch and care is no longer a practice there.
