How big??
Hi everyone! I've been approached to make my first cake for a fee. Usually it's just because I love to do it. So it's for a group of 25 to 30 people how big should I figure on making this? Any recommendations for shape? Any help will be most greatly appreciated!

I'm with Sherry on this one. If the woman wants a cheap cake, she knows where to go. That's not why you hire a cake decorator. It is an art. She's not paying just for cake - she's buying a custom work of art. When she gets compliments on the cake, you will get references. You don't want to be stuck giving them all a low price after finding out you hardly made any money. And, they will know how much she paid.
