Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I have just started to work with gum paste and fondant.  I like they way it looks when I am making things but then it get dull looking.  How can I make it shine AND not loose it's color?

I think I've seen someone post on here that they use a small amount of crisco, its on another forum ( something about ribbons on a cake in the title)
C&K products puts out a product that you can laquer them with too... It is really smelly though.
I use this. It's called Edible Varnish. You need to get the cleaning solution for this too.

I have a botlle of it but have not used it in a very long time.... it is probably no good by now!
you can also hold them over boiling water but just for a short time,
you can steam them, or you can try spraying with pearl lustre dust.
