Looks like red with a tiny bit of black but let's see if anyone else has a better idea. If you are using Wilton colors then I would use the no-taste red but be prepared to use a lot of it. If your fondant gets sticky just add a little more powdered sugar.
I would do it the same way as Deah. And you will most likely have to add some p. sugar to it or put a little shortening on your hands while kneading then let it set out for 10 minutes or so before trying to roll it. That will allow it to dry out a bit.
I would add the color before you add the powdered sugar to the melted marshmallows, this way you wont have sticky fondant and just add a bit more sugar. Yes adding a bit of black will make the red more deep but just a little....I would also get Americolor brand red.. it has the most concentratred pigment....
Oh sorry CI9 didnt read your whole post about adding the color.. well I agree then!
Thanx Ladies im about to give it a try and i will keep you ladies posted thanx so much for the help..I wish i can bring you all home with me lol..
I'm such a cheater... I'd use red satin ice and add a bit of crimson colored gel paste and a tiny touch of black satin ice if needed.
