Hi everyone,
We now have the Facebook like button on a lot of pages. I know some people will be excited about it and then others are going to be freaking out about where their favorites went. We did add the favorite button back in another spot, but it looks like it didn't restore what was saved. Sorry about that! Sometimes when you try to make improvements, you run into problems. Any how, it should make adding pages you like to your facebook page much easier now.
We're also going to use the facebook like button instead of the favorite button to vote for this contest. I think it requires less explanation because people are used to it.
So, I'd like to hear what you think of the change.
Thanks!

I do not want to be on Facebook, and I'd rather my cakes were not there either. But I'd like the option of voting in these contests. That's half the fun of being a member on this site.
Hi Everyone,
You all have valid points and I'm sorry the facebook like button worked out this way. The original intention was for it to make voting easier to understand. Every contest, we find ourselves explaining how to vote over and over again and thought that since people are accustomed to the like button, it would make it obvious. We are going back to voting the old way, with the favorite button, for the next contest.
Everything is trial and error when you are trying to make things work better on a website. I take what you all have to say into consideration and hope we can continue to make improvements here. Please understand that we certainly didn't intend to cause problems, make people uncomfortable or anything else of that nature. I hope you can understand and trust that we will try to find a more efficient way to handle the contests moving forward. Thanks!
I love that I was notified through that a new cake pic has been posted here. Very nice!!
But I agree, what I do here should never show up on FB. Not that we are doing anything sneaky here... I just like to keep my FB page for a few friends and family members only. And for obvious reasons would not want everyone else's cake piocs showing up on my business fan page.
