Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I will be working with Edible prints for the first time. I was hoping I could get some ideas on how to attach it to the side of a fondant covered cake. I have read use watered down piping gel, or corn syrup painted lightly on the fondant.

I was also wondering how soon (before the party) can I apply the print to the cake before it starts fading or whatever can happen to it happens.

Thank you so much in advance. Appreciate all the help I get from this wonderful site.

Are you just using the edible images? I use a small brush and just attach them with water.... put just a very light brush of water where you are putting your print. DO NOT put the water on the image itself it will not work. Have ruined a couple that way! Be prepared to work quickly. I have done them a couple days in advance and been ok
Thank you so much Jeri, I may order a small one for experimenting (my first time) and try exactly what you said. I so much want to put a picture of my Granddaughter and her special doggie the dog on her birthday cake this year along with many kites, as per her request. Again thanks for your help.
