Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I need help with a Coca Cola cake that I have to make.   Here is the picture.   How can I make the "stick" curve like that?  I have an idea but I want to hear from you guys.  Thank you.

The picture is attached.  It is right there!  I can see it!

I don't see it either, it is just an empty box with an X in the corner. It tells me I need to log into AOL if I click the box where the photo is supposed to be.

Ok. I'll try to load it again.

I am having problem to load the picture.

OK, It is attached now under Cola.png.

First of all what can I use to hold the can at an angle?  An wooden stick will make it look straight rather than at an angle.  What would it be better to use fondant or buttercream?  To make the Buttercream red like that I think it will make it bitter.  Any advise?

Thank you.

That is a neat cake.  I think I would use fondant - red satin ice if you can get it so it won't taste bad (if you have to use buttercream or home made fondant - Americolor red doesn't have that funky taste.   Then I would use 3/8" dowel inserted through the cake all the way into the cakeboard.  I think you could put the dowel in straight up and down and then the cola can would naturally "hang" at that angle when you put the dowel through the opening. (put some fondant or gumpaste up in the can and anchor it with royal icing).

Lisa, that's  what I thought on doing but the wooden stick will look to straight up rather than bended like in the picture.  I don't know how to make it look slanted.  Maybe if I wrap the stick with aluminun foil and wire to hold the can.

Thank you guys.

I cant see it either, and i am on a desktop - it wants me to log into aol to view it.

Thank you guys, I have the information that I need.
