Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I have it in mind to make a cake look like a candle.  I know what I'm doing for most of it, but the melted wax part at the tome of it, I had the idea of using white ganaxhe, but then how would one stop it running down the side before it hit the bottom>
So making it out of fondant, i'm just not sure how to get that look.
Suggestions?  ideas?

You could use the ganache....wait until it is thickened and cooled a bit as you pour it it will spread slowly and you will get the drippy look....some wax does go to the bottom of the candle.
In a decorating book by Roland Winbeckler, I think he coated the inside of a decorating bag with colored piping gel, then put in his colored frosting. when he piped, it created shiny "drips". So, you could just make fondant 'drips', then brush them with piping gel.
