More information would be helpful.  How many to serve?  Do you have a shape idea in mind (round, sq, sheet)?  Does 'dbl choco' mean it will be iced in choco?

I think I'd go more w/a flowery idea accented w/basketballs & hoops.

When I'm stuck for idea I google using the image button for whatever I need.  In this case I'd google 'basketball cake'.  You'll get tons of ideas!

Thanks Lynne for the suggestions, the cake will be round and will serve at least 30 people. Yes, the cake will be chocolate with chocolate frosting but after that I'm lost.  I will go to the site and look up basketball cakes

I made this one for a friend who loves basketball. It was an 8 inch round but with a 6'' rounded on top. Probably be too much cake though for what you need though.

I made this one awhile back (taken from an idea on ladycakes.com).  The kids really enjoyed it.

Make a sheet cake. On top of that put a 1/2 round ball shape. Then for part of the the sheet cake, decorate it as a basketball backboard. for the basketball, decorate it as such and add white frosting netting around it so it looks like it is in the net.

Do you have the Wilton ball pan? You can bake a half basketball and put it in a sheet cake or a larger cake like a 9 or 10 inch cake...
