4th of July Cake Contest - July 1 - July 22, 2011
4th of July Cake Contest:
Enter your July 4th cake by Friday, July 22nd for a chance to win. Add the photo to your profile.
Please note the following change for entering the contest: The title will be whatever you want to name your picture. To enter the contest, add the TAG 7411 to your picture. We are also limiting entries to 1 per person.
All entries will be featured at the top of the photos page.
1st place prize: $50 gift certificate to Cuquis Designs Online Cake Decorating Store.
2nd place prize: $25 gift certificate to A&H Cake Design Cake Decorating Supply Store.
The top ten cakes will be determined by the number of people selecting it as their favorite with the favorite button. Voting will take place from Saturday, July 23rd to Wednesday, July 27th. The top ten cakes will be displayed on Thursday, July 28th. The judges will vote from July 29 - 31. The winners will be posted on Monday, August 1st.
In order to maintain the integrity of our contests and fairness to our members, we discourage any solicitation of votes. In the event we determine that you have cheated, your cake will be quietly disqualified and removed from the contest.

Jen, this one is pretty simple. 4th of July theme cake is the only requirement. One entry per member. And, don't forget to tag your photo accordingly.

Marilyn, you need to upload ONE picture to your profile and tag it according to the directions above. Once that is done one of the moderators will feature your photo which enters it into the contest.

This is my cake I made for our 4th of July Celebration. It is titled, "Freedom". and I would like to enter this into the contest but not sure how to "tag" a photo. any suggestions? Thank you.

Sherri, there are 2 ways to add tags. One way is at the same time you upload the photo. In the same area where you name your picture there's a field for tags. Tags are searchable keywords. Normally tags would describe the cake like baby shower or birthday. In this case you would also add the 7411 tag so the cake can be searched for the contest. The other way to add tags is after the photo is uploaded. When you are looking at your photo from your profile just above the picture is an Options button, click that and you'll see add tags. Once you select that you'll see a field for the tags. Add the necessary tags and SAVE. That's it.
