I have colored them before just use some petal dust mixed with vodka.  Put the perals into it and roll them around.  Not a fun thing to do if you have a lot of them to do.  It might be easier to color some gumpaste and roll them yourself. 

 

  If you do them with a water based dye they will melt.  It also depends on the kind of pearls that you have.  I have some that do not take the color well too.  If you have an airbrush it would work too.

I put mine in a plastic container with a lid and a little luster dust, the shake shake shake. It works well, but does not get very dark.

I like Kathy's too!!!  I had not seen the lavendar ones... I have pink, yellow, green, blue.... but not any lavendar!

I have done the same thing as Kay, but I have to admit I like Kathy's solution the best!!!! :-)
