The fun of making lovely florist ribbon flowers will be doubled when you duplicate the techniques using gumpaste to make edible flowers for your sugar work. This class is comprised of learning the techniques of folding strips of florist ribbon to form the various petals for five different flowers and then arranging each set of petals to form a flower. The same folding techniques will be used to make edible flowers, but the methods will differ to adjust for the properties of gumpaste. Each student will leave class with at least one of each of the petals, one ribbon flower, and one gumpaste flower. (You will have enough supplies to make one of each flower if time permits.)
