Demo on Sunday, July 8th - 8am - 12 pm
1. Julie Bashore, Master Confectioner and CEO/Founder of Sugar Arts Institute will be demonstrating her artistic skills in rolled fondant cakes. She will share her time-saving techniques and secrets of success taking your newly learned skills to a professional level for a successful and profitable business. Whether you are the most experienced of cake decorators, or new to the “game”, this demonstration will provide you with the confidence to create beautiful wedding cakes.
2. Marcela Capo will demonstrate how to create a realistic looking waterfall scene using piping gel, then add gum paste figures enjoying the ride through the water.
3. Jane Hatton will demonstrate over piping techniques creating built up Lambeth piping, a technique often applied to royal wedding cakes. Piping intricate side designs for wedding cakes, using built up line work and delicate pressure piping. The fun of piping Cornelli Lace on tulle. This is an instant, effective and attractive way to add embellishments to one's cake.
James Rosselle - Parrot Tulips, Peonies, and Poppies, Oh My!!! Striking peonies, stunning poppies and dazzling parrot tulips handcrafted from sugar paste are so life-like you will find yourself taking a second look. Watch and see how James unveils his tricks to the wonderful art of sugar craft. These beautiful blossoms will be a showpiece for any cake. James’ love for the art of sugar combined with his approach of color makes this demo exciting and fun. You will all be frosted with tons of smiles by the end of this demonstration.
