Who said white on white cakes are lackluster? In this class students will learn how to create their own 3-tier wedding cake with couture bows and side pleats.
Students will learn:
-proper preparation for a rolled fondant covered cake
-how to cover cakes in rolled fondant for a clean finish
-stacking and doweling cakes for transportation
-applying horizontal ribbons and pleats to cakes
-crafting cheeky and couture 3-loop bows
Student Supply List:
-12 inch round turntable
-large rolling pin
-mat for rolling fondant (optional)
-pasta machine, hand cranking
-2 fondant smoothers
-small paring knife
-12 inch ruler
Each student will leave with a display wedding cake and handouts, along with several techniques on achieving cake designs with clean, couture finishes.
