Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I'm very new and have only made a few cake toppers using fondant icing. How do I stop the cake "sweating" under the glare of my kitchen lights when working? Can I add something to the mix and if so can I get it in the UK?

This is a new one on me.  Have never heard of this.  I am guessing your "lights" must be halogen, or something to "heat" up your kitchen area.  My suggestion is to work with your findanr in another area???? Perhaps a dining room table?  I have a spare room I have with our computer/sewing machine. I have often taken my sewing machine off the table & used it in that area because it is one of the coolest rooms in the house.  I have even gone down in my basement in the summer, and used a card table as it was cool & comfortable & not as "humid/hot" as the rest of the house.

Hope this helps solve some of your dilemna.

Thanks, yes my lights are halogen and focused on where I work. Will have to find somewhere else to do the slow bits until I get faster!
