I am not sure if the online class is still going, but I went to that link and it just says "next live recording: Cricut cake class" and doesn't do anything else...???
I didn't find the class terribly helpful. I wish they would have talked more about the functions and settings on the machine, rather than what to do with the gumpaste pieces after they are cut out.
I noticed at Hobby Lobby the other day that ALL the CriCut supplies/tools were on clearance....had me wondering why.

what is MTC or SCAL??? you were right too that class was a joke.....it was like watching Barbie and Skipper...LOL I will definetly cheeck out those videos..
Thank
my came with a dvd on how to use it, even though I have it sitting in top of the shelves for over a year or so.
The DVD that comes with machine isn't much help.
I personally would get the machine Linda Maclure uses. Those cricut cartridges are ridiculously high and with the other machine you can use SCAL, which allows you to use images off the internet as much as you want. I do not want to pay $50-$60 per cartridge, on top of the cost of the cricut cake.
Thanks I bought one but i didn't use yet..I will sign up for the class.

Thanks , i try to find where i need to register in the web but i didn't find...i will try after
Thank goodness someone recently told me about the Silhoutte. I wrote a post about an intricate monogram, & someone suggested it. It was expensive (350 from Linda includes how to use it with gumpaste, delivery, tylose, & some icing sheets.
Forget the cartridges! They are too expensive & limited. The silhouette will import jpgs, pdfs, you name it! No question for me. I justified the initial cost on what I will save not buying cartridges.
