Easter Cake Ideas
Post any cool ideas you have for an Easter cake here.
Here's an easy one:
Make a round cake and cover the sides in basket weave. Add a gum paste handle. Cover the top with sweetened coconut dyed green and add jelly beans and other candies.

I learned some new gumpaste flowers from the Austin Cake Show that Nicholas Lodge demonstrated. A one step pansy, stephonitis (sp?), and mini orchid. Since I do not get many requests for flowers (I do mostly kid parties) I wanted to practice. I have a 3-d lamb pan that I have never used either. So I am going to make the lamb, I like the idea of the "coconut grass" and I will put the flowers around the lamb and take it to church to share.

sure this will come up again here as next year approaches. But here is one I did last year that I LOVED< It is pretty close to an idea I saw online, that I changed slightly to my artistic taste!
