Hi all,
I hope you're having a wonderful day! :)
I need some advice on a reception order I have. The bride and groom are going with a 6" ceremonial cake with regular sized cupcakes and cakepops.
There are expecting 100 people at the reception. I have reserved the 6" only for the bride and groom. Now what ratio would you break down the cupcakes and cakepops for 100 guests?
Does 75 cakepops and 50 cupcakes work?? I'm not sure. They want to have minimal wastage!
Anyone had an order like this or can suggest from their own experience?
Also what kind of stand would look great with this? Any suggestions?
Thanks!!

I believe the response you will most likely get is that you need to think in terms of servings instead of people necessarily. If they wish to pay for 100 servings, then you could have 1cupcake as a serving or 2-3 cakepops as a serving. The 6" would not count toward servings since it is for the bride and groom only. But do not forget it in your pricing. I think it would look great on a tall stand with the cake on top alternating rows of cupcakes and cakepops. this might have more presence than maybe spreading them out low. it would depend on how much room is allocated for the display. Alot of room could mean using individual cake stands in different heights for interest also.
Hope this helps some.
