Gumpaste Accents on Butterceam

I'm doing a shower cake and transporting it tomorrow to my parents' house 2.5hrs away.  I've made some flat gumpaste cutout animals I want to attach to the sides to the cake.  Will the BC cause the gumpaste to go limp after an extended time?

No, the bc want hurt the gumpaste at all. I do it all the time.
