When placing regular bow ribbons around a fondant cake, do you keep any grease from coming through it. Thanks!

Jaqueline,

are you talking about fabric ribbons? why would you have grease on your fondant? just curious as to the technique you are using.

I never use any shortning or sprays on my fondant so I never have a problem with the grease and ribbon.

a lot of people especially on bc, will take double back tape stick it to the ribbon then use saran wrap, wax paper, parchment, and stick it to the ribbon so the places they put bc or other to hold it to the cake you can do the same with fondant because the crisco from the fondant can discolor your ribbon and look spotty or greasy,
