Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Does anyone have a good lemon poppyseed cake recipe that I can make in a regular cake pan?  All the ones I can find call for a bundt pan which tells me it's probably too dense for a round?

Can I alter the WASC recipe to use Lemon cake mix, lemonade concentrate and just throw some poppyseeds in?  It's for a Mother's Day cake.

All I can say is try it anyway! I've never let the pan suggestion dictate what I bake. Also I have noticed that sometimes they call for the bundt pan for looks only : )) I say give it a shot in a regular pan!
I would use the lemon version of WASC and add the poppy seed. That's all there is to it.
I think I'll do the WASC thing and see what happens. :) I can always do one just to see how it turns out - anybody want some free cake? ;)
I posted my lemon version of the WASC on my blog on here and when I make the poppyseed version I add the poppyseeds to the dry ingredients before adding anything else. It turns out great. I love lemon cake! And I bake it in regular pans all the time... and cupcakes too! It is wonderful with a raspberry buttercream!
I just posted a video of this recipe.
