Homemade buttercream or pre-made?

I make my own buttercream icing. I tried Wilton's once but it tasted horrible.

I have used DIxie's buttercream once... it is really a good tasting buttercream but I almost always cover my cakes in fondant so I always make my own because I love the true butter buttercream. I don't use shortning ever
